Google is looking for an Interaction Designer to envision how people experience their products and bring that vision to life in a way that feels inspired, refined and even magical. In an Interaction Designer role, the candidate will tackle complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs for billions of people around the world—from the first-time user to the sophisticated expert. Achieving this goal requires collaboration with teams of Designers, Researchers, Engineers and Product Managers throughout the design process—from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes. At each stage, he/she will anticipate what their users need, advocate for them and ensure that the final product surprises and delights them.
The Interaction Designer will join their team in Waterloo that’s focused on the enterprise side. They will collaborate closely with colleagues on the consumer side to ensure a cohesive experience for all.
Responsibilities:
[1] Delivering UX solutions that measurably improve the core workflows of the target users.
[2] Designing mental models, end-to-end journeys, and user interfaces for Google software products.
[3] Developing storyboards, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that effectively communicate interaction and design intent.
[4] Producing artifacts and support UX researchers in conducting both formative and evaluative studies.
Qualifications:
[1] BA/BS degree in in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
[2] Experience in designing enterprise web applications.
[3] Communication and collaboration experience.
