Opportunity description

Fao has a vacancy in Budapest, Hungary for a Functional Business Analyst. 

Contract Duration: 

11 months.

Required Qualifications:

  1. University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, and Payments, or other relevant disciplines or relevant certification.
  2. Five years of relevant experience in Finance, HR, Procurement and/or Project Management.
  3. Working knowledge of English and limited knowledge of one of the other FAO official languages (French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian) for Consultants. Only language proficiency certificates from UN accredited external providers and/or FAO language official examinations (LPE, ILE, LRT) will be accepted as proof of the level of knowledge of languages indicated in the online applications. Candidates should upload language certificate/s when submitting their application.
  4. Work experience in more than one area of work
  5. Extent and relevance of experience in electronic payment solutions
  6. Extent and relevance of experience in project management
  7. Knowledge and experience of Oracle ERP is an asset.
  8. Possessing FAO Core Competencies: Results Focus, Teamwork, Communication, Building Effective Relationships, and Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Improvement.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Manage the ERP test cycles in the area of Payables, Payments, and Payroll;
  2. Execute tests where necessary and keep the related test plans and test logs up to date with test results;
  3. Liaise with CIO and Business Units in resolving problems and correcting defects identified during the ERQ1 test cycle(s) and money test cycle(s);
  4. Keep the set of master test scenarios for all integrated payables, payments, and payroll related scenarios up to date for future use;
  5. Provide specialized functional expertise in the implementation of Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT), Mobile Wallet Payments (MWP), and Automated Bank Reconciliation (ABR) processes throughout the Organization;
  6. Translate Bank specification documents into FAO Functional Specifications;
  7. Maintain effective contact with FAOs corporate bank partners (functional and technical teams) in the context of obtaining the necessary functional requirements to implement the required EFT, MWP, ABR solutions;
  8. Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders in the context of the implementation of EFT, MWP, and ABR solutions;
  9. Support SSC in coordinating and ensuring the delivery of Finance, HR or Procurement related projects;
  10. Streamline existing business processes and implement new technology to improve efficiencies;
  11. Continuous collaboration with the SSC teams to improve GRMS functionality
  12. Perform testing in GRMS as needed;
  13. Maintain close and effective relations with various HQ department to ensure that process improvements are appropriate and implemented in a timely basis;
  14. Monitor and escalate system process concerns identified by the SSC, HQ, and Country Offices. 
  15. Serve as an escalation point for major escalated service delivery issues;
  16. Perform any other related duties as required.
