Job Opportunity at Google: Business Analyst and Corporate Accounting in the US

Google is offering a job opportunity as a Business Analyst, Corporate Accounting, to join Google accountants in Sunnyvale, CA, USA.

Main Role

As a member of this team, you know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end. You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and you'll review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. As the Corporate Accounting team, the mission is to oversee Sales and Marketing expenses, be advisers to businesses, and the liaison between Business, Finance, and Accounting teams. As a Business Analyst within Corporate Accounting, you will be at the forefront of finance transformation at Google, partnering closely with the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams to help them streamline and improve upstream business processes. Additionally, you will driver continuous improvements and automate existing processes within the team, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills and passion for improving business processes.

Responsibilities

As a member of google's team, you'll be required the following:

• Manage monthly close activities and present month-end results to management.
• Manage and operationalize scalable processes that ensure accurate financials.
• Partner with the Financial Planning and Analysis teams to understand and communicate forecasts vs. actual variance and obtain product area insights.
• Review processes and implement time-saving automated solutions for the team.
• Be a trusted advisory to the business, provide accounting guidance, and identify risks areas.

Eligibility

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent practical experience.
2. 2 years of experience in accounting and finance.
3. Experience in SQL and/or other computing language.
4. Experience in driving process improvements.

Preferred qualifications

Preference will be given to those with the following qualifications:

1. Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
2. 5 years of experience in accounting and finance.
3. Ability to influence across the company and interact across all levels and various teams. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Passion for driving business decisions and analyzing large and complex data sets.
5. Excellent attention to detail, project management, organizational, and communication skills.
6. Excellent business judgment to handle ambiguity.
