Google is looking for an Associate Account Strategist to join its team in Ann Arbor, MI, USA; or Redwood City, CA, USA. In this role, you will gain knowledge of the online advertising industry, while developing business, communication, and analytical capabilities. This will allow you to work with and influence both internal and external stakeholders to drive a positive impact on the organization and clients.
You will be the frontline of Google’s client-facing teams and will be responsible for a book of business and the business targets that come with it. The majority of your time will be spent on the phone consulting with clients of all sizes and types, advising them on tailored solutions on how to get the best return on their Google Ads investment.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in advertising, sales, marketing, consulting, or media.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Google Ads, online advertising, and other digital media platforms.
- Experience in advertising sales, successful client engagement, and consistent business growth.
- Experience working against assigned goals.
- Experience in providing strategic advice and turning data into insights to help Google's advertisers get the best return on advertising investment.
- Ability to leverage your business acumen to strategically assess and help solve client needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively across various levels, including senior marketing leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of Google Customer Solutions (GCS) small-to-medium size businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and creating multi-quarter plans for achievement.
- Cold-call clients within a book of business to help generate growth, and a further return on investment.
- Collaborate within the Sales team, aligning workflow among team members to execute on a plan and ensure accountability to meet or exceed goals while prioritizing and delivering outstanding customer experience.
- Implement creative ways to improve our customer relationships, tailor and share performance-enhancing suggestions, and promote other Google products.
- Identify key client stakeholders, including C-level and business owners, to support Customer Business Objectives and annual digital marketing plans. Assess and solve client needs via sales techniques, including effective questioning and objection handling.
