Opportunity description

Move One offers a job opportunity as an Operation Coordinator in Amman, Jordan. The successful applicants will be responsible of maintaining a high-level customer service and serve as single point of coordination for assigned import and export shipments.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and monitor logistics and moving jobs from pick up to delivery; origin to destination, domestic and international.
  2. Provide excellent Customer Service. Update clients on daily basis and provide xls updates when it is necessary.
  3. Manage customer expectations and help address or identify concerns quickly and seek solutions with support from the Jordan Country Manager.
  4. Update Intrack system, open, invoice and close jobs, enter comments and statuses on daily basis and inform Afghan stations about the upcoming shipments.

  6. Liaise with field office ops, flight operators and charter agents to coordinate back up solutions or alternative logistical support to meet the customers' requirements and best satisfy the growing demands.
  7. Check required customs documentation for import and export shipments. Inform relevant parties on documentation requirements.
  8. Requesting and booking of export and import shipments with agents and vendors.
  9. Assist with requesting transport and service quotes from agents and vendors.
  10. Work closely with the moving quoting team to assure they understand any service uniqueness or trends that need to be identified when calculating pricing
  11. Keep track of customer payment terms and make sure billing is done accordingly by reviewing invoices and comparing to contracted amounts.
  12. Meet the time frame set for closing jobs, verifying all costs and sells entered in the job and invoicing the customers.
  13. Generating a weekly report to be submitted on Fridays with a snapshot of the projects as they are, to include any problems or and required escalations.
  14. Inform the Jordan Country Manager on updates, glitches, problems and any new business / operational requirements immediately so that communication is shared internally to better support and prepare the customers.

Skills:

  1. Minimum 1-year Coordination Experience, preferably within the field of logistics.
  2. Strong English skills (written and verbal).
  3. Excellent knowledge of MS office and other applications.
  4. Preference of College degree.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
  6. Ability to gain respect and build good relationships with customers, partners and colleagues.
  7. Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  8. Effectively works well under pressure.
