Job Opportunity at Ooredoo: Sr. Engineer, Network Optimization

Ooredoo is looking for an enthusiastic and diligent Sr. Engineer to join the team in Kuwait.

Role:

1. Conduct periodic Access Network Quality of Service Check to insure best customer experience.
2. Detect, report, and follow up fixing of QOS degradation related to Access Network.
3. Ensure the quality and performance of network nodes and services.
4. Meet the OSS strategy in terms of service monitoring (SQM/CEM).
5. Define E2E KPIs, objectives and guidelines for network quality and service monitoring.

Key Activities:

1. Support and assist in the installation and configuration of performance tools managed by the department and as well the projects related to QoS.
2. Ensure that upper management is informed on the status of all critical issues being captured in the Network.
3. Managing Inventory of the tools/HWs.
4. Maintain (KPIs) key performance indicators and make sure that they are properly mapped from basic counters collected from systems.
5. Analyse Radio Parameters and follow up in correcting inconsistencies/discrepancies.
6. Setting up Baseline parameters for all technologies and making sure that they are mapped and implemented correctly in the Radio NW  (both the Vendors).
7. Validate major changes in the Access NW and approve the same with necessary guidelines.
8. Maintain and update Management Dashboard as and when needed.
9. Other duties as directed by the manager.
10. Proactively take responsibility for self improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge, and innovations in relevant field of expertise.

Qualifications:

1. Three to four years of experience based in Radio Access Network with a Mobile Operator.
2. In depth knowledge of 2G/3G/LTE technologies and Optimization skills.
3. Good understanding of Radio parameters, KPIs, and Configurations.
4. Well versed with RF testing tools.
5. Multi-Vendor experience preferred.
6. Good knowledge of Macros & MS Office applications like Excel, Access, Word etc.
7. Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline and appropriate registration with a recognized professional institute.
