Job Opportunity for Jordanian Wastewater Treatment Process Engineers at CDM Smith

CDM Smith has a vacancy for a full-time Junior Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer in Amman. The selected candidate will work on multiple tasks on the USAID Jordan Water Infrastructure project serving as an umbrella contract for USAID/Jordan’s water, wastewater, and environment sectors.

Eligible Candidates:

1. Hold Jordanian citizenship and be legally authorized to work in Jordan.
2. Bachelor'sdegree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
3. A minimum of three years of experience in wastewater treatment plants process design.
4. Completed advanced wastewater treatment process courses at university or similar after graduation (provide documentation on completed courses).
5. Experience in using BioWin or similar software preferred.
6. Strong Communication skills in English and Arabic (speaking, reading and writing).
7. Proficient in Civil 3D and AutoCAD are preferred.
8. A member of the Jordan Engineers Association.
9. Good Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.).

Job Description:

1. Working within a team of multi-disciplinary professionals in designing wastewater treatment plants.
2. Collecting and analyze data.
3. Performing wastewater treatment process calculations.
4. Assisting in BioWin model development.
5. Preparing reports, drawings, and specifications.
6. Assisting in the selection of process equipment.
7. Reviewing designs for compliance with Jordanian and international regulations.
8. Coordinating designs with other engineering disciplines.
9. Performing other duties as assigned.
