The Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) is offering a job opportunity as a System Administrator within the Global Graduate program for 2019 in Belgium. Responsibilities:
- Perform and control day-to-day systems administration/ management activities that may include initial set-up, configuration, testing of hardware or software platforms and/ or customization to maintenance and upgrade projects.
- Work with a team of specialists to resolve simple to moderately complex problem management issues by investigating and devising solutions for systems/ operations. This may include installations, set-ups, error message, on line transactions, system/application status, testing solutions, operational procedures in accordance with the service level agreement.
- Interact with network services, software systems engineering and /or applications development in order to restore availability of services and/or identify root cause of problems.
- Define and implement recommendations to issues in the area of either systems, or databases, or applications or a combination thereof.
- Participate in system/network projects/enhancements by representing department in project meetings.
- May participate in the development of automation tools.
- Document adequately the procedures to execute all the tasks.
- Demonstrate in execution of the tasks a clear quality driven approach and CI mind set.
Qualifications:
- University degree in IT / Engineering or equivalent.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written English.
- Analytical and methodical in problem investigations and approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and part of a multicultural team.
- Innovative mind-set
- OS: Red Hat Linux.
- Tools: Ansible, Puppet or Jenkins.
- Virtualization using VMWare.
- Practical usage and/or implementation of containers (eg. Docker) and container platform (eg. Kubernetes, Openshift) is a plus.
