Orange offers a job opportunity in Egypt as a Sr. supervisor, converged core, and transport development.

Eligibility:

You must have:

  1. University degree in faculty of engineering (communication dept.).
  2. Minimum 4 years of experience in GSM/UMTS/LTE mobile network.
  3. Experience in CS and PS core signaling and architecture.
  4. Experience in data networks and transmission.
  5. Good knowledge of IMS.
  6. Act as a source of experience for other development team members and for other teams within the technology department for all core and transport development issues.
  7. Teach and train other junior team members to use different core monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  8. Support and coach other junior team members in doing their new trials and studying new features.
  9. Very well established analytical skills.
  10. Good leadership and management skills.
  11. Solid technical and professional knowledge.
  12. Very good communication skills.
  13. Problem-solving skills.
  14. High flexibility and adapting to change skills.
  15. Good planning skills.

Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  • Study CS and PS core roadmaps and identify all the new features and technologies that can be of interest to Orange Egypt.
  • Study the transmission and data network roadmap and evolution.
  • Study the gain and impact of introducing new core technologies/features to the network and effect on end-user.
  • Study all transport features and identify the features that can bring saving or enhance performance.
  • Study and test the IMS features that should enhance network performance and improve user experience with IMS services (VoLTE, VoWifi,..).
  • Manage to introduce and validating new core and transport technologies and features.
  • Ensure lab and field trials for the validation of new core and transport technologies are done to group standards and fulfill all validation criteria.
  • Evaluate different vendors' solutions and recommend the best solution to be deployed based on lab and field trials.
  • Provide technical evaluation to other teams and higher management for the tested features with a clear recommendation of whether to be deployed or not.
  • Provide clear recommendations and guidance for other teams regarding the new planned transport and core features that should be considered in the budget of the coming years.
  • Lead the troubleshooting of any critical unusual issues that are raised during any of the core and transport new trials.
  • Find out new methods & techniques for improving network quality and cost.
  • Interface with Orange NAD and skill center teams to align Orange core and transport development plans with that of the group.
  • Interface with different technology teams (Transmission, data networks, core engineering, RAN engineering, optimization,..) for introducing new technologies/features.
  • Manage core and transport development projects of high impact on the network in terms of performance or cost savings.
