Google is offering a job opportunity as a Copyright Operations Specialist to on YouTube with its team in Ireland. Fast-paced, dynamic, and proactive, YouTube’s Trust & Safety team is dedicated to making YouTube a safe place for users, viewers, and content creators around the world to belong, create, and express themselves. Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policy, the Trust & Safety team is on the frontlines of enhancing the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world.
Responsibilities:
- Act as senior POC in the region for Copyright Operations. Build relationships with regional cross-functional stakeholders.
- Respond to complex copyright-related escalations from partners, press, and executives. Train and support rapidly growing frontline review teams.
- Process occasional high touch copyright takedown requests, counter notifications, and other related legal requests. Expertly evaluate complex cases, e.g. involving exceptions to copyright.
- Stay up to date on relevant trends and developments in copyright in the EU and communicate them to the global team. Support tech teams by managing structured evaluation processes to drive improvements to copyright management tools.
- Improve processes and performance continuously, by analyzing, identifying, and prioritizing operational and tool improvement opportunities.
Minimum qualifications:
- Experience working across legal and/or internet operations.
- Experience with copyright law and safe harbor compliance operations.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with tech teams to provide structured feedback and recommendations on a machine learning program
- Experience working in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment. Calm under pressure.
- Experience with SQL.
- Strong business judgment and outstanding influencing and communication skills; ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional partners
- Strong analytical skills, including using data to drive strategy and business action.
