Job Opportunity in Jordan at Roya: IOS Mobile Developer

Roya Company is seeking an ambitious, self-directed IOS developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse Apple mobile devices to help the company develop its new line of mobile applications.

Qualifications:

1. BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
2. Proven track record in producing apps for iOS, available in the App Store
3. Proficiency with Apple computers and software, the Mac OS and iOS for mobile devices
4. Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development for iOS.
5. Minimum of 3 years of Objective-C development experience.
6. Knowledge of standard Internet protocols including HTTP, HTML 5, SQL, CGI.
7. Knowledge of security protocols such as SSL, TLS, SSH, and PKI.
8. General design skills and experience in UX and UI design are a big plus.
9. Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
10. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a small, fast-paced environment
11. Experience with web development technologies (i.e. Core JavaScript, RequireJS, JQuery, Bootstrap, AngularJS, Backbone) - in case we need to wrap a web app using a product like: PhoneGap
12. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
13. Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
14. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
15. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
16. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

Responsibilities:

1. Build, deploy and support enterprise-class applications.
2. Perform code review and integration tests.
3. Actively participate in the design of software components. Use experience to help translate requirements into technical design and tasks
4. Assist with providing estimates on assigned tasks
5. Independently write quality code that is simple, reliable, and scalable
6. Understand and create the fundamental native UI components (such as view controllers, scroll views, table views, etc.)
