SITA is offering a job opportunity as a project manager in the middle east, India & Africa-Morocco-Casablanca City. This role is responsible for the success (on-time, on budget, quality and customer expectations) of one or a number of internal or external projects. As a core role in the organization with responsibility for leading the vast majority of SITA deployment/projects/program workstreams, it requires demonstrated ability in a number of management competencies as well as advanced technical skills. Financial responsibility at this level is at 1m $, direct revenue generation of 2m $ and a project team of 10 members. This job will be under GEO (the Middle East, India & Africa) and the project management profession.
Eligibility:
You must have:
- Extensive experience in project management with full budget responsibility in a commercial environment.
- Experience in IT solutions provider environment with knowledge of SITA-like products and underlying technologies an advantage.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of IT and specifically the ATI industry and economic drivers.
- Strong project financial management experience including budgeting, estimating and reporting.
- Advanced user of MS office applications, and Sharepoint.
- Very competent in MS project and/or other project management tools.
- Bachelor's degree or technical equivalent but a master's degree is preferred. Formal project management training and certification PMP/PRINCE certification is required
Your Responsibilities:
If you are accepted at this job, you will be responsible for:
- Accountable to sales and bid/commercial teams during the Pre-contract phase for inputs ensuring that the projects are realistic and achievable in delivery in terms of scope, budget, quality, feasibility and time.
- Leading the planning process and own the project implementation including generation of the project/resource plans, budget and risk register as per the SITA methodology and interlock with product/partners/resource pool owners.
- Ensuring line management is appropriately briefed, aligned and engaged on the delivery implications/requirements of the project with a special focus on the risks.
- Once approved, ensure complete handover from the bid team and end-to-end be accountable to manage the delivery of projects as per defined SITA project management methodology to deliver the agreed scope right the first time.
- If responsible for a deployment activity, accountable for problem analysis and resolution, including managing escalations and creating/managing action plans.
- Proactively take leadership to manage the contract during delivery including risks and issues and take ownership of escalations whilst ensuring customers fulfill their obligations and recover costs in case of lapses.
- Leading, motivating, coaching and directing the project team and monitor and manage the performance of 3rd party suppliers, both internal and external, in order to secure the delivery targets.
- Ensuring successful and complete handover to operations and project closure once the project is delivered including lessons learned.
- Establish and lead project governance internally and externally to ensure stakeholders are aligned on project status, issues and risks.
