Opportunity description

Novartis offers a job opportunity in Switzerland as market access and public affairs manager. You will engage with the relevant stakeholders (e.g. Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), health insurance, physician- and patient associations in order to facilitate fast and broad patient access to Sandoz products, with a strong focus on biosimilars. You will support the implementation of the local market access and public affairs strategy. Furthermore, you will develop a Sandoz position on key issues of public policy.

Eligibility:

You must have:

  • Master degree in natural sciences (such as pharmacology, molecular biology, medicine) or economics.
  • Be proficient in German and English as well as strong in French.
  • 4+ years experience in at least one stakeholder sector within the pharmaceutical industry (e.g. product manager, medical advisor, MSL, business analyst, financial analyst).
  • Ability to develop trust-based relationships with government officials, regulators, and other key stakeholders, understanding the political relationships and sensitivities in Switzerland.
  • Willingness to travel on a national level.

Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  1. Acquire a clear understanding of the patient journey and stakeholder landscape regarding the usage of biologics and biosimilars.
  2. Identify barriers for broad access to biosimilars and proactively develop strategies and tactics to remove such obstacles.
  3. Build and implement biosimilar supporting strategies and activities.
  4. Contribute to an understanding of the impact on business strategy caused by competitors' actions.
  5. Prepare and submit P&R dossiers in due time.
  6. Lead negotiations with the FOPH and be the single point of contact.
  7. Interact with external key stakeholders, e.g. FOPH and insurance companies.
  8. Support and actively participate in the Art.71 process.
