Aramex provides a job opportunity in UAE to work as a senior procurement & land freight supervisor to ensure and maintain proper fleet management, operations, maintain supplier’s records, contracts, rates agreements in accordance with legal.
Eligibility:
You must have:
- Minimum 2 years in land freight, procurement.
- Excel.
- Word.
- Communication skills.
Your Responsibilities:
You will be responsible of:
- Develop and maintain the relationship with customs authorities at related gateways for a smoother operation.
- Develop and maintain the relationship with suppliers for proper handling and competitive costing.
- Finalize agreements with related trucking suppliers in accordance with Aramex freight quality standards.
- Ensure effective utilization of resources and manpower.
- Ensure having a succession plan in place.
- Facilitate the flow of information horizontally and vertically.
- Ensure the related freight operations is running smoothly and according to Aramex standards.
- Optimize routes and identify suppliers offering better/alternative routes.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate the performance of the freight operations team.
- Adhere to company HSSE, compliance and sustainability corporate policies.
- Ensure proper costing through regular rate negotiations with trucking suppliers.
- Ensure efficiency and cost control by properly utilizing assets, proper time-allocation and tasks distributed among the staff.
- Take all necessary measures when possible to reduce cost without compromising quality and standards.
