Job Opportunity in UAE as a Workshop Supervisor for Volvo Trucks in Al Futtaim

Al Futtaim is currently looking to recruit an experienced workshop supervisor for Volvo trucks in Dubai. Reporting to the national service manager, you will be responsible for matching monthly budgets via ensuring optimum utilization of the available workshop labor and resources in the shift to achieve set operational efficiency targets as well as ensure that the team carries out repair works & service activities in accordance to established quality, safety and efficiency guidelines and within set time frames. The successful candidate should also have a sales role to insure that desired targets are met in the branch.

Eligibility: 

You should possess the following qualifications, knowledge and skills:

1. Diploma or equivalent in mechanical/automotive or related field.
2. Experience with premium truck dealer service, preferably Volvo.
3. Minimum 5 years hands on experience in workshop repair and operations in a reputed automotive dealership, out of which 2 years are in a supervisory capacity (Volvo preferred).
4. Good communicator in English; Arabic is an advantage.
5. Sound technical knowledge in vehicle diagnosis and repair.
6. Knowledge of technical software.
7. Valid UAE's heavy commercial vehicle driver’s license will be an advantage.
8. Ability to think analytically.
9. Planning and organizing skills.

Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

• Achieves monthly budget of labor net sales.
• Prepares the team for the upcoming job and allocates job cards to them to align the jobs to the skills set and efficiency level and maximize throughput in a timely manner.
• Review pre-order forms (parts proforma) to confirm parts requirements are well-matched with the issue on hand and guaranteed to fix the problem.
• Ensures quality checks are done on finished jobs by the technicians.
• Monitors warranty jobs to ensure the team follows the set warranty guidelines. This includes reviewing job cards and other documentation to justify warranty claims and facilitate smooth processing.
• Technician output.
