Al Futtaim offers a job opportunity in the UAE to a registered nurse.

Eligibility:

You must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in nursing.   
  • UAE license or eligibility is preferable.
  • BLS.
  • English fluency.
  • It's preferred to have knowledge of Arabic.
  • Minimum 4+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Have knowledge of chronic disease management that encompasses respiratory, cardiac conditions and diabetes. as well as implement and evaluate individual chronic disease care plans.
  • Undertake clinical duties, with relevant training in the below areas:
  1. Assisting physicians at the out-patient clinics.
  2. Evaluation and monitoring of vital signs.
  3. Assessment of patients at out-patient clinics.
  4. Infection control management.
  5. Basic and advanced life support.
  6. Conducting bedside monitoring of blood sugar.
  7. Documentation of patients medical history, vital signs and management plan.
  8. Patient education.
  9. Managerial skills.
  10. Knowledge of all clinical policies and procedures.
  11. Administration and management of IV medications and fluids.
  12. Computer literacy skills.
  13. Excellent presentation and analytical skills.
  14. Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  15. Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  16. Good decision-making skills.
  17. Strong operational thinking skills.
  18. Critical thinking.
  19. Conflict management.

Your Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  1. Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements.
  2. Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
  3. Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand the condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions.
  4. Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments as per the local regulatory standards.
  5. Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
  6. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel.
  7. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
  8. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  9. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements maintaining equipment inventories evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  10. Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders; using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  11. Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods.
  12. Provide quality health and personal care services to patients in a professional, efficient and courteous manner.
  13. Identify, and manage as appropriate, treatment plans for patients at risk of developing chronic diseases. Provide health promotion to these patients to improve long-term quality care (E.g. dietary advice, smoking cessation).
  14. Work in partnership with patients to support appropriate decision-making.
  15. Liaise and support other members of the multi-disciplinary team and other agencies relating to patient care, maintaining good communication channels.
  16. Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate programs to promote health and well-being.
  17. Be aware of safeguarding policies, both local and national, and implement such policies.
  18. Recognize and refer patients presenting with holistic health needs, including mental illness.
  19. Assess clinical conditions, prioritize health problems and intervene appropriately, including initiation of effective emergency care.
  20. Manage own patient caseload including the interpretation of test results and the ability to act upon these.
