Opportunity description

Walt Disney is looking for enthusiastic individuals from Morocco to join the Sub-Saharan Africa Cultural Representative Program at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, USA. Participants have the opportunity to share the unique culture and customs of their country with guests, while working different front line, guest-facing roles.

Sub-Saharan Africa Cultural Representatives can be placed in one of four roles:

[1] Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Savanna Guide: the Savanna Guide is responsible for engaging guests in informal conversations on topics such as wildlife, animal behavior, animal care and conservation, as well as their individual country and the continent of Africa. They must also ensure guests safety in animal viewing areas and provide resort and park information to guests.

[2] Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Food and Beverage Seater: Seaters utilize a computerized reservation system for seating guests in restaurant, cash handling, organizing tables, cleaning kitchen and counter equipment and emptying trash cans. They lead to a variety of cultural activities such as cookie decorating, face painting, drawing, storytelling, tours and deliver formal educational presentations showcasing the restaurant theme and African culinary.

[3] Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park - Themed Lobby Greeter: Lobby Greeters greet every guest that enters or leaves the resort with a traditional African Greeting and pay special attention to each and every child to create a lasting impression. They also initiate conversations with small and large groups of people of a variety of age levels and provide resort and park information to guests.

[4] Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park - Park Greeter: Park Greeters engage families with young children as part of the park-wide Wilderness Explorers program and deliver both formal and informal presentations on their country's culture, geography, and people, as well as Africa’s wildlife.

Ideal candidates must fulfill the following basic requirements: 

[1] Have the ability to English fluently.
[2] Be at least 18 years of age to apply.
[3] Be able to authentically represent Sub-Saharan Africa region: Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
[4] Be receptive to Disney look guidelines.
[5] Be fully available to work Sunday through Saturday, including days and nights, holidays and overtime.

Candidates are required to attend a presentation and in-person interview in Gaborone, Botswana on August 24; or Johannesburg, South Africa on August 27, 2018. Those accepted will earn an hourly rate of pay starting at $10.00 per hour depending on the role they are selected to perform.
