Job Opportunity in the UAE: Web Designer & Developer at the Arab Monetary Fund

The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) is offering a job opportunity as a Web Designer & Developer in UAE. 

Responsibilities 

• Manage and perform hands-on activities for the complete application development cycle for AMF website projects: Perform requirement gathering/ design/ development/ customization/ test/ implementation tasks for web content management systems such as Drupal, following best practices and standards, product roadmap and translate user requirements into systems specifications.
• Provide first level maintenance, enhancement, and troubleshooting support for web content management and hosting system/applications.
• Perform enhancement and customization to implemented solutions, as and when required.
• Run and analyze QA tests.
• Provide administration/management and monitoring support for all web applications.
• Provide support on installation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of the content management systems, website hosting environment, log analytics tool/software management, website search software/tool, and website security management software/tool.
• Preparation and maintenance of documentation: Ensure necessary technical documentation for tools and modules is in place. Prepare application documentation, update procedures and processes as necessary. Measure and periodically report on key performance indicators.
• Research, evaluation of new technologies: Conduct research and make recommendations on web tools/software and services for external-facing websites; Assist in tools/software selection and vendor evaluations.

Requirements 

1. Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science from a recognized university.
2. At least five years work experience of developing web systems with Drupal and other PHP-based implementations, JavaScript, SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL or other flavours), Node.js
3. Expert understanding of Drupal’s code structure, module architecture, and theming components.
4. Expertise in authoring and extending Drupal modules.
5. Experience in Advanced site-building including deep familiarity with Drupal multisite, Drupal Modules CTools, Views, Features, and Feature Overrides.
6. Experience using Drush commands, maintenance scripts, and a web-based repository such as GitHub.
7. Experience building responsive websites using Drupal CMS, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery, and RSS technologies.
8. Proficiency in PHP, PHP files and theme functions, Drupal theme layer, Apache, MySQL, the Linux Shell and have experimented with various JavaScript frameworks.
9. Ability to design enterprise Drupal solutions, with consideration for data, display, and information architecture, and to create RSS feeds for Digital Signage.
10. Experience with Pingdom or other site monitoring service.
11. Experience with Google Analytics, campaign management, and tagging.
12. Must have a strong understanding of UI cross-browser compatibility general web functions and standards.
13. Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite.
14. Familiar with the agile development methodology.
15. Arab National.
16. Arabic and English Language skills are a must, French is an advantage.
