The National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) in Amman, Jordan is looking for an enthusiastic individual who believes in the NEO goals towards better higher education in Jordan to be appointed as a Project Assistant. The National Erasmus+ Office in Jordan was established to improved awareness of Erasmus+ for potential applicants and higher education stakeholders in general, provide high-quality assistance to applicants and beneficiaries. foster the Erasmus+ community by collaborating closely with the European Commission, delegations and the National Authorities and support the team of Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs) in Jordan.
For the Project Assistant to help NEO - Jordan achieve their goals, they must meet the following requirements:
[1] Good knowledge of the higher education systems in Jordan and the European Union.
[2] At least three years practical experience in higher education.
[3] Experience with European education/higher education projects.
[4] Excellent language skills (especially writing and speaking) in Arabic and English (TOEFL or IELTS proof is recommended).
[5] French or another European language would be an asset.
[6] Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office applications. Having ICDL is recommended.
[7] Excellent communication and social skills.
[8] At least Bachelor’s degree in sciences, humanities, IT or relevant field.
[9] Should be willing to travel inside Jordan as needed.
[10] Must possess driver’s license and a transportation facility.
The Project Assistant will have the following duties:
[1] Assist the NEO staff in making arrangements to hold the Erasmus+ information days on annual basis.
[2] Prepare studies, analytical/ statistical reports, etc. related to higher education as may be required.
[3] Provide support for translation of Erasmus+ related documents.
[4] Assist in Tax and custom exemption letters that were prepared by the colleagues in the office.
[5] Assist in drafting monitoring report and signing sheets for participants in monitoring visits.
[6] Assist in following up the implementation of Erasmus+ projects in Jordan, participate in their running projects activities and contribute to the dissemination of their results.
[7] Participate and assist in field monitoring visits of Erasmus+ and Tempus projects throughout Jordan
[8] Assist in drafting NEO's speeches and presentations for participating in local and international activities.
[9] Attend, if necessary, specific training, conferences, seminars related to the Erasmus+ program to improve NEO staff knowledge and to raise awareness among institutions and stakeholders involved in the Program.
[10] Constructing database of projects and staff and updating this regularly.
[11] Answer the phone and provide information about Erasmus+ and other EUfunded programs in higher education.
[12] Help students and respond to their inquiries about scholarships and ICM.
[13] Send and receive emails and respond to queries.
[14] Support and coordinate the local activities of the team of Higher Education Reform Experts and accompany the team during their visits.

NEO Jordan contributes to the following overall objectives: to improve the awareness, visibility, relevance, effectiveness and impact of the international components of the Erasmus+ program and contribute to its promotion and dissemination in Jordan.
