Opportunity description

P&G is looking for a talented Data, Analytics and Visualization Engineer to join the team and work in North Carolina, United States for 2021. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Drive end-to-end data and analytical solutions supporting the development, learning, and operational insights for our critical new engineering led initiatives in equipment, process, packaging, customization and supply chain.
  2. Work across important Data & Analytics Community of Excellence capability areas of: Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Wrangling, Edge Programming, SME Analyst/Business Intelligence, Visualization/Citizen Scientist Ux.
  3. Engage project teams to understand project needs/requirements and provide technical expertise with data and analytical tools.
  4. Collaborate with data leaders and multi-discipline teams to design, develop and ensure critical data systems infrastructures and integration offer critical data model availability and scalability.
  5. Ensure relevant data and analytics are available to meet initiatives and technical readiness needs by continuously addressing the data models, wrangling and cleansing data, and improving data solutions and platforms.
  6. Explore emerging capabilities and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning for flawless integration and application between data scientist, functional specialists and their key user cases.
  7. Strategic, systems problem solver who will automate existing manual decision support and data workflows to drive key innovation and business performance improvement.
  8. Apply and build mastery in our Product Supply Engineering innovation and delivery efforts, while demonstrating diverse data, analytics and visualization skills.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Data Science, Operations Research, Applied Math, Statistics, Analytics, etc.)
  2. Skills in data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  3. Skills in script program languages (SQL, Python/Scala, R, JAVA, or C+).
  4. Skills with data analytics and insight environments (Spark, Hive, SQL Server, etc).
  5. Live in Greensboro, NC or have the ability to relocate here.
  6. The ability to work in person at our plant/manufacturing facility immediately upon start date (after relocation and/or contingencies are completed).
  7. Experience with data analytics insights and work processes for learning and decision support.
  8. Strong leadership skills, business problem definition, and priority setting skills.
  9. An aptitude for communicating insights and collaborating across teams/organizations.
  10. A passion to learn/develop and bring in emerging trends/technology that drive further insight value.
  11. Proven success of applied analytics through related full-time experience.
  12. Experience with data management, ingesting new data, transforming/harmonizing data.
  13. The mindset of an entrepreneurial thinker and is a self-starter, displaying proactive thinking.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience working with a supply chain /logistics is a bonus.
  2. Experience at a plant or manufacturing experience.
  3. Machine Learning experience.
  4. Experience with GitHub.
  5. Highly preferred to have 1-5 years of full time work experience, but internships will qualify if they are relevant.
