Job opportunity: Project Manager Economy Watch

Identity Center (IC) is an independent civil society organization based in Amman, Jordan, working to encourage development across the Middle East. The Center empowers people to fully participate in political, economic, and social development through outreach, advocacy, research, training and monitoring. The Identity Center is currently seeking to recruit a fulltime Projects Manager for its program “Jordan Independent Economy Watch” at a competitive local salary. It's a program that aims to encourage strong socio-economic policies and to inform and enhance public debate on Jordan’s economic development. The projects manager is responsible for the overall management of the different projects that are part of the Economy Watch, including the successful implementation of all research activities of the projects. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in economics or a related field. At least 2 years’ experience in managing relevant projects. Fluent in Arabic and English. Solid knowledge and understanding of political, social and economic development. Strong demonstrable experience in all aspects of project management and coordination including project planning, implementation,monitoring and evaluation, financial management and the design/utilization of appropriate project management tools, and the capacity to transfer this experience to others. Ability to manage a number of key relationships and to work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work well both within a team and independently, in a challenging, fast-paced multicultural environment. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Experience in economic research, analysis and economic forecasting.
