Delivery Hero is looking for Senior Analyst in Global Payment Analytics to join its Global Management team in Berlin, Germany. Delivery Hero’s finance teams work as advisors in financial matters for the local entities all over the world and are responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling all financial activities of the group and ensure the profitability and liquidity of Delivery Hero.

Responsibilities:

1. Work in a highly effective team responsible for the processing of financial transactions amounting to billions of euros.
2. Be a Data Hero: develop and optimize reports, perform ad-hoc and deep-dive analyses to facilitate data-driven decision making.
3. Collaborate with the central teams in Berlin as well as with the local teams to drive the best payment practices across the region.
4. Demonstrated proficiency in coding practices and analytic approaches.
5. Use statistical and Machine Learning techniques for strategic deep dives and utilize them to enhance payment performance.
6. Able to answer the ‘What?’ question effectively and within reasonable deadlines but begin to think about the ‘So What?’ and ‘Now What’ portions of the analysis.
7. Act as a leader on the team and represent the team in cross-department work.
8. Proactively bring new ideas and suggestions to the team and the company’s internal clients.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, e.g. computer science, mathematics, physics or economics.
2. 5+ years of relevant work experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Science or comparable fields.
3. You have solid SQL skills, can use advanced Excel functions and work with Tableau, Looker or other Business Intelligence tools.
4. You can handle confidently large datasets using tools like R and/or Python.
5. Experience in applying statistical or machine learning models to business problems.
6. You are enthusiastic, innovative, with an analytical mind, a ‘can do’ attitude and capable of using data to tell stories.
7. Strong organizational and multitasking skills and the ability to balance competing priorities.
8. Familiarity with online payments would be an advantage.
9. Fluency in English, other languages are an advantage.
