Opportunity description

Aramex offers a job opportunity for a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Leader to join the Safety and Security team in Beirut, Lebanon for 2021. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health. 
  2. Facilitate the flow of information horizontally and vertically.
  3. Maintaining the HSE statistics for audit and other purposes.
  4. Determine access requirements to information within the HSE team to guarantee privacy and confidentiality based on sensitivity, classification, legal requirements and company policies, and pass to IT for implementation.
  5. Develop and maintain HSE team‘s response and recovery plan during a disruptive incident, using the tools and templates provided by the local business continuity coordinator working within the BIE team. 
  6. Ensure the team is performing daily walk through, weekly workplace inspections and communicating that to the concerned departments to take remedial actions and assigning appropriate case online.
  7. Ensure the team is conducting weekly tool box talks update the workforce on health and safety matters.
  8. Ensure all incidents are reported, recorded online through SharePoint, investigated and rectified to avert recurrence and action plans are routed through CA System. 
  9. Ensure that all health & safety policies, procedures, rules & Regulations are adhered to and are regularly, updated & communicated. 
  10. Conduct risk assessment for all work equipment, processes & Operations. 
  11. Adhere to company compliance and sustainability corporate policies.
  12. Provide regular reports to Management on relevant health & safety activities (health & safety Indicators) on quarterly half yearly & annual financial reports to Senior relevant health, safety that would save the business any losses. 
  13. Liaise with local authorities on Health and safety related matters with regards to facility fitness certificate and required approvals on storage.  
  14. Risk assessments to be covered for all operations as part of risk management strategy.
  15. Promote Incident prevention for the benefit of employees & visitors.  

Mandatory requirements:

  1. Bachelor Degree in Business Management.
  2. English Proficiency is a must, French is a plus.
  3. MS Office Applications (Work, Excel, Power Point & Outlook).
  4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Security field.
