Opportunity description

Souq Fann, which is an innovative e-commerce platform connecting producers of Jordanian handicrafts to new national and international markets, is looking for a logistic intern at Souq Fann. This position is available immediately and the successful candidate signs a three-month internship contract, with an employment opportunity at the end of the internship period.

The Sourcing Officer Intern will be responsible for signing the contract with Souq Fann vendors.

The internship will include the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring agreements are signed with selected vendors and partners to promote their products on the platform.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with vendors and providing them with technical and logistic support.
  • Organizing and maintaining Souq Fann warehouse
  • Conducting quality assurance on products themselves to ensure customers satisfaction.
  • Managing documents (vouchers, invoices) and money transactions (cheques, cash).
  • Coordinating with the shipping process between Souq Fann's warehouse and the delivery place.
  • Following up with customers to ensure the delivery of product(s) and their satisfaction.
  • Researching and dealing with different kinds of actors such as shipping companies, suppliers.
  • Managing and updating the inventory database as well as the sourcing database when necessary.
  • Managing orders on SouqFann.com and coordination with technical when needed.
  • As Souq Fann grows, these responsibilities may change. Above all, a successful candidate must be willing to take on new challenges to contribute to Souq Fann’s success.

Skills & Characteristics

Performing well in this position requires:

  1. Excellent paperwork and financial management skills
  2. Excellent command of Excel and any additional program(s) for inventory management
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with many different types of people
  4. Accuracy with information management, especially inventory database 
  5. Unwavering attention to detail and drive to succeed
  6. Ability to learn and analyze new and conflicting information quickly and effectively

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in good standing from an accredited university.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
