Opportunity description

Dell is looking for a motivated Sales Intern to join the company’s Channel team for 6 months in either Milan or Rome for 2019. If you are passionate about Computer Technology and eager to develop a career in technology sales, this opportunity is perfect for you. 

Responsibilities:

  1. You will assist and support a team of Inside Partner Account Manager in their function (Administrative and Sales Backup)
  2. As well as building a business with your partners, you will be working with other Dell functions including Sales Operations, Customer Care, Brand, Finance and Logistics to deliver a positive customer experience
  3. You will sell products and services by selling, up-selling and cross-selling technology solutions using outbound calling, consultative and influencing selling techniques to create positive results for Dell, its partners, and its customers
  4. You will answer inbound emails and phone calls, manage potential channel conflict with other channel partners by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to channel rules of engagement
  5. You will ensure partner compliance with partner program agreements
  6. You will maintain good business relationships with partners to conduct needs analysis, relay product information and provide technical specifications, quotations and tenders
  7. You will work closely with partner account managers and partners to acquire new opportunities

Essential requirements:

  1. Ability to communicate effectively and proactively over the telephone
  2. Ability to project a positive sales attitude
  3. The time management skills to meet multiple demands in a complex and changing environment
  4. Good level of spoken and written Italian is a must and good level of spoken and written English
  5. Strong organizational skills and a structured approach

Desirable requirements:

  1. Experience in a cross-functional team or multi-cultural environment
  2. Previous experience in selling
