The Deloitte Innovation Hub (DIH) in Cairo is looking for an AI/ML Engineering Tech Lead to join the AI & Data consulting group. As a Tech Lead, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation, leading a team of engineers to deliver high-fidelity machine learning solutions for complex business problems across EMEA. This role combines deep technical mastery with strategic leadership, allowing you to mentor talent, architect advanced AI solutions, and engage directly with global clients to translate their needs into production-ready AI systems.
Duties & responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of AI/ML engineers through all phases of the data science lifecycle.
Architect and oversee the implementation of scalable machine learning algorithms and productionized solutions.
Engage with stakeholders to understand complex business pain points and define technical specifications.
Research and stay ahead of the latest AI/ML advancements, implementing innovative techniques into client projects.
Ensure high-quality delivery and technical integrity of all AI initiatives within the engagement.
Oversee data analysis, feature engineering, and model fine-tuning processes for high-accuracy results.
Collaborate with other tech leads to integrate AI/ML solutions into larger enterprise ecosystems.
Support the business development team by crafting technical proposals and pitching AI projects to clients.
Eligibility criteria
7+ years of professional experience in Data Science, AI, and Machine Learning.
Proven track record in a leadership or Tech Lead capacity, managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Mastery in AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
Strong background in MLOps and deploying machine learning models into production environments.
Proficiency in Python, Spark, and SQL for advanced data manipulation.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed processing technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Deep understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), Agile, and DevOps.
