Job in Egypt: Grant Manager at Ashoka Arab World

Ashoka Arab World offers a Full-time job opportunity for a grant manager position with a contract that is to be extended yearly. AAW is looking for an experienced Grant Manager to manage a 3-year partnership in 3 different countries and to be one of the best candidates you must have extended experience in project management and have worked with NGOs before. As well, you must have entrepreneurial background, and be interested in social causes and solving social problems.

You will be responsible for:

• Program Management:
• Oversee day-to-day project activities and act as primary a point of contact for the grantor(s), and AAW staff.
• Manage the development and execution of each project deliverables, lead projects planning, action plans, and monitoring processes.
• Prepare monthly and annual work and strategic plans with detailed activities and outcomes.
• Develop implementation of strategies to improve the quality and utilization of program services among stakeholders.
• Develop and prepare accurate financial and administrative reports.
• Ensure adherence to controls and procedures in the management of projects resources.
• Support fundraising efforts, including grant-writing, for the extension of the partnership.
• Follow-up with the Finance Department on budgets, project expenses, payment requests, and other financial matters related to the activities.
• Coordinate and attend meetings with stakeholders, partners, and other Ashoka Arab World teams.
• Other relevant duties.
• Reporting and correspondence duties to the Grantor (in collaboration with other teams):
• In collaboration with other teams inside Ashoka, ensure project activities comply with the policies and regulations of the grantor(s).
• Develop reports and documents for the project in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Performance management:
• Together with your supervisor, you will develop an annual plan of action at the beginning of the fiscal year and updated it monthly.
• Develop a monthly report with all activities executed during the month; to be sent to your direct supervisor, Financial Manager and Regional Director on the 25th of each month.

You must have:

• B.A. in a relevant field, preferably Social Sciences, Business, Management, Economics, or Political Science.
• A master’s degree in Social Sciences, Business, or Management is preferred.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Ability to write and speak French is an asset.
• Entrepreneurial record.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in project management/coordination and reporting.
• Experience with strategic planning, proposal writing, and report writing.
• Good communication skills in both English and Arabic languages.
• Interested in social development projects.
• Knowledge of MS Office and 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Creative within her/his scope of work and very resourceful in problem-solving.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple high-priority tasks.
• Team player with a high level of commitment with social change.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work under stress with flexible working hours.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and schedule work assignments.

Please note:

• Starting Monthly Salary (Gross): 35,000 EGP.
• After three years of work at AAW, depending on your performance you can apply to other Ashoka jobs in the region or abroad.
