The Deloitte Innovation Hub (DIH) in Cairo is offering an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineering Tech Lead. DIH is a strategic initiative established by Deloitte North & South Europe (NSE) to become the leading business transformation partner across EMEA. In this role, you will lead a team of data engineers to design, develop, and implement complex data engineering solutions. You will work within an inclusive team culture to gather requirements from stakeholders, maintain optimal data systems, and deliver complex technical solutions for clients' most complex business problems.
Duties & responsibilities
Lead a team of data engineers in the design, development, and implementation of data engineering solutions.
Design and implement data pipelines to collect, transform, and load data into data warehouses and data lakes.
Maintain and optimize data systems to ensure high availability and performance.
Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications.
Work with other engineering teams to integrate data engineering solutions with other systems.
Manage functional and non-functional requirements with a deep understanding of systems engineering methodologies.
Identify and solve complex problems using a structured and logical approach.
Build and maintain positive relationships with stake
Eligibility criteria
7+ years of relevant experience in data engineering and technical leadership.
Strong proficiency in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Solid programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala, along with Unix Shell scripting.
Extensive experience with data warehouse technologies (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, Big Query).
Deep understanding of data lake technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Apache Beam, Spark, Hive).
Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Control-M.
Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
