Duties & responsibilities
- Arabic Sweets Preparation: Create, prepare, and present a wide range of traditional Arabic sweets and desserts with precision and authenticity.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef to design and innovate on the pastry menu, incorporating traditional Arabic sweets while infusing creativity and uniqueness.
- Quality Control: Ensure consistency in the quality and presentation of all Arabic sweets, maintaining Hyatt's standards and adhering to food safety regulations.
- Ingredient Management: Oversee the procurement, storage, and utilization of ingredients specific to Arabic sweets, ensuring freshness and adherence to Hyatt's quality standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the pastry team, providing guidance, support, and training to junior staff members regarding the preparation and presentation of Arabic sweets.
- Kitchen Operations: Assist in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation within the pastry department, adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
- Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility in preparing other pastry items and desserts as required, showcasing versatility in culinary skills beyond Arabic sweets.

Eligibility criteria
- Proven experience (3 years) as a Demi Chef de Partie or similar role in a reputable pastry kitchen, with a specific focus and expertise in creating authentic Arabic sweets.
- In-depth knowledge of traditional Arabic sweets, ingredients, techniques, and cultural nuances associated with their preparation.
- Culinary certifications or relevant culinary education is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and passion for delivering high-quality pastry items.
