Opportunity description

Saudi Petroleum Services Polytechnic is offering a job opportunity in Dammam, KSA as an EHS Advisor.

Duties & responsibilities

  1. Inspect premises and the work of personnel/Training workshop to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
  2. Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc. to ensure that all measures are adhered to.
  3. Conduct risk assessments and prepare permits to work when required.
  4. Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
  5. Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
  6. Review of HSE documentation and suggest improvements. Participate in incident investigations, the identification of root causes, propose corrective actions and review the relevant risk assessment.
  7. Conducting of newcomers safety orientation. Support the Safety & Security Manager in improving SPSP operations and prevent any loses.

Eligibility criteria

  1. Academic education – minimum College degree or Equivalent
  2. Internationally recognized safety certifications NEBOSH IGC or OSHA 30 Hours (from OSHA approved agencies) (ISO 45001).
  3. Fluent in written and spoken English.
  4. Years of Experience: 5 Years of Experience
  5. Job-Specific Skills: Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, Auditing of activities, reporting and analyzing safety data, incident investigation and identification of immediate and root causes
  6. COMPETENCIES: Good understanding of HSE Management systems (ISO 45001) Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Good knowledge of HSE legislation Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
