Opportunity description
Apply for a job opportunity with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Jordan as part of a project supporting the sustainable blue economy in Aqaba through Marine Spatial Planning (MSP). The project aims to enhance and preserve the resilience of the Kingdom’s marine environment.

Duties & responsibilities
- Manage and implement daily project activities, annual planning, and budget organization
- Provide technical guidance to ensure effective implementation of activities
- Closely coordinate with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), the Marine Reserve, and other partners
- Manage the team (staff, consultants, contractors) and oversee financial resources and reporting
- Prepare project progress reports, evaluations, and consultation meetings
- Contribute to building strategic partnerships, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and support knowledge sharing and learning
- Represent the project in relevant meetings and media communication when needed
- Knowledge of Sustainable Blue Economy (SBE) and Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) is an advantage
Eligibility criteria
- Master’s degree with 5 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience in the following fields: Coastal/Marine Environmental Sciences, Biology, Natural Resource Management, or Sustainability
- Strong experience in project management: planning, monitoring, budgeting, and reporting
- Ability to analyze environmental data and prepare reports
- Excellent coordination and partnership skills with governmental and non-governmental entities
- Proficiency in both English and Arabic
