Opportunity description
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) announces the availability of a vacancy for a Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Specialist. The role focuses on supporting field teams in improving protection services for individuals affected by gender-based violence, particularly women and girls.
Duties & responsibilities
- Support the implementation of GBV prevention and response activities within meetings.
- Assist in preparing reports and analysis on protection and gender-based violence trends.
- Participate in coordination efforts with protection teams.
- Collect and monitor data safely and ethically on GBV-related incidents and cases.
- Support training and capacity-building of teams on protection and response standards.
Eligibility criteria
- ثلاث سنوات من الخبرة العملية السابقة ذات الصلة بوظيفة مكافحة العنف القائم على النوع الاجتماعي في سياق محلي .
- خبرة في مجال الوقاية من العنف القائم على النوع الاجتماعي والتخفيف من آثاره والاستجابة له.
- خبرة تطبيقية في النهج الذي يركز على الناجين، وتوجيه مكافحة العنف القائم على النوع الاجتماعي، ومبادئ إدارة الحالات المتعلقة ببرامج مكافحة العنف القائم على النوع الاجتماعي.
- معرفةٌ بالمعايير الدنيا للعنف القائم على النوع الاجتماعي، والمبادئ التوجيهية، ومعايير إدارة حالات العنف القائم على النوع الاجتماعي.
