The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) seeks a Graphic Designer Trainee to support global improvement. The trainee will play a pivotal role in developing and updating multimedia assets for projects aimed at tackling non-communicable diseases and integrating digital health innovations. The responsibilities include collaborating with the Project Manager and instructional designers to create high-quality graphics for online courses and developing visually appealing course banners, icons, and infographics that align with the defined visual standards.
- Create course banners, icons, infographics, and other graphic elements, ensuring visual consistency and quality.
- Assist in migrating existing course materials, ensuring they meet updated visual formats.
- Support the instructional design team by uploading multimedia assets to various platforms.
- Ensure all graphic materials adhere to the WHO Academy’s visual identity.
- Contribute creative input during brainstorming sessions and design reviews.
- Maintain organized files and document design processes for future reference.
- Manage multiple design tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines.
Functional knowledge required includes proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, video and audio editing software, and a strong understanding of design principles. The position requires effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced work environment.
Eligibility criteria
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Creativity and innovation, particularly in adult learning contexts.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another UN official language is an asset.
