Opportunity description

Saudi Petroleum Services Polytechnic is offering a job opportunity in Dammam, KSA. The Inspector trainer is responsible for carrying out required inspections & training to ensure that Power generators, Industrial petroleum products, Gas stations, LPG service centres, facilities using petroleum products as feedstock, transportation of petroleum products meets national and international standards such as SASO-ASTM 5854, SASO-D4057 GSO 2120/2011 or GSO2119/2011 and API 650.

Duties & responsibilities

  1. Develop inspection plans/checklists for equipment’s and systems.
  2. Ability to read and interpret diagrams and specifications for electrical and mechanical installations.
  3. Performs field checks, to ensure that all electromechanical installations, systems, and equipment meets the required standards.
  4. Ensure that transportation of petroleum product complies with Saudi Aramco and national standards and requirements.
  5. Ability to identify defects and hazards in electromechanical installations, systems, and equipment.
  6.  Tests and measures finished products, components, or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy to verify adherence to functional specifications.
  7. Ensure that all findings are properly logged, reported during field check
  8. Submit daily field reports to document testing, inspections, and field observations
  9. Ensure that all equipment’s and appliances are maintain according to applicable codes and standards
  10. Maintains accurate records to document inspections, test results, and other related pertinent information.
  11. Review and analyse results and findings and suggest improvements
  12. Care for measuring and test equipment issued from damage and deterioration during handling and storage.
  13. Advanced knowledge of sample preparation, collection & testing
  14. Knowledge of general inspection responsibilities.
  15. Develop training materials.
  16. Skilled in the use of computers and common software applications.
  17. Build and maintain effective working relationship.
  18. Carry out other assigned related duties. 
  19.  Always work ethically and safely.

Eligibility criteria

  1. Diploma with 5 years experiences or bachelor’s degree with min 2 years’ experience in oil and gas or petrochemical industry
  2. Familiar with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards and general design drawing.
  3. Familiar with SASO & GSO standards.
  4. Preferably Completed Internal Auditing course
  5. Good computer skills
  6. Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  7. Hold a valid driving license
