Opportunity description
Turquoise Mountain is offering an internship opportunity in carpentry and furniture design for beginners with the support of UNICEF and the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ). The program aims to train beginners on the basics of woodworking using only hand tools and focusing on wood joinery as the main technique for making furniture. Additionally, the trainees will be introduced to the basic principles of furniture design and technical drawing through weekly sessions.
Duration:
The duration of the course will be five months, starting from 1/2/2020 until 6/30/2022
Eligibility criteria
- Ages between 18-24 years only
- The training is available to males only
- Jordanian or Syrian nationality
- Interest in learning the craft of woodworking and furniture design
