Walt Disney is offering an Internship in Network Production & Operations in the USA. Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) Technology organization plays a central role in the future growth of The Walt Disney Company. Its team is responsible for worldwide linear and digital media distribution, design and development of all consumer-facing digital products, advertising technology, consumer data, and international broadcast operations. Network and Production Operations covers a full range of operational areas, including studios, control rooms for studio and remote events, content acquisition and distribution and network origination.
Duties & responsibilities
- Network and Production Operations interns will benefit from an immersive experience learning to produce and distribute live sports programming content on state-of-the-art equipment and for fans across the globe.
- Functional roles include but are not limited to: Audio Assist, Media Playout for studio shows and live events, Studio Camera, Program Ingest, and Archive.
- Interns will operate independently alongside full time team members upon completion of training.
- Interns will participate in employee engagement and development experiences.

Eligibility criteria
- Basic Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of Production equipment and technology, which may include server-based recording/playback devices and related software applications.
- Exceptional communication skills and work ethic, ability to work in a changing and challenging environment while remaining calm in high pressure situations.
- Ability to work nights and weekends to take part in Broadcast Events outside of normal business hours should be anticipated.
- Applicant must be currently enrolled undergraduate student in an accredited college/university, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Media Distribution, Digital Media, Technology, TV/Broadcast, Radio, Film or related field. OR graduated within the past 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney Professional Internship.
- Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
- Applicant must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
- Applicant must possess unrestricted work authorization.
- All interns are required to provide their own housing and transportation during the internship. A subsidized housing option may be available in Bristol, CT.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in live production operations and content distribution.
- Operational experience at the college level, including live game production and studio operations.
