Google announces an internship opportunity in Canada for researchers and PhD students in computer science and related fields. Participation in this program will require that you be present in Canada for the duration of the training.
Duties & responsibilities
- This opportunity aims to enhance academic collaboration with students through research work at Google.
- This will be a paid opportunity that will provide participants with the opportunity to work directly with Google research scientists and engineers on cutting-edge research projects.
- This training will provide many opportunities that go beyond the boundaries of traditional training programs in many aspects such as duration, time commitment and workplace (with options to work on-site or remotely).
- Google Research teams collaborate closely with other teams in the company, in order to maintain the flexibility and diversity required to adapt projects that meet the demands of the world's fast-paced business needs.
- You will participate in various researches to develop solutions to large-scale real-world problems.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- You must be a current PhD student in the field of computer science, linguistics, statistics, biostatistics, applied mathematics, operations research, economics, natural sciences, or any related technical field.
- Experience in an area of computer science (for example, natural language understanding, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, algorithmic foundations of optimization, quantum information science, data science, software engineering, or any similar field ).
Preferably:
- Currently attending a degree program in Canada.
- Experience as a researcher, which includes internships, full-time employment, or working in a laboratory.
- Have published research papers in previous conferences or major journals.
- Experience in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, and C/C++.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English.
