Job in Jordan: IP Network Engineer at Zain

Your main responsibilities, will include but will not be limited to:

• Planning, designing, and optimizing, troubleshooting and support of IP/MPLS, IPRAN Core and IGWs which are Multivendor and Multi-access technologies.
• Capacity planning of IP/MPLS, IPRAN, IGWs, BNG, OLT, DDOS, WIFI Controller & CGN network based on traffic trend and marketing input.
• Architect networks for new services, identify areas of improvement, and develop/implement acceptance testing plans.
• Studying and evaluating the new features, services, and technology of IP MPLS Network, routing protocols, IPv6, SR/SR-V6, SR-TE, EVPN, DS-Lite, NAT64, NAT46, NAT444, RSVP-TE/LDP, H-VPN, H-VPLS, SDN, security and other services.
• Designing traffic engineering and QoS for Zain services.
• Managing and optimizing BGP connections/Polices with International Carriers.‎
• Creating standard configuration templates for new technologies.
• Integrating the services with NMS & PMS and ensuring all the services are properly monitored.
• Designing, implementing, and administrating the Network DPI, BNG, OLT, WIFI controller, Caching & CGN solutions.
• Designing and integrating the backhaul for all access technologies (FTTX, ETTX, ADSL, WIFI, 2G, 3G, 4G,5G, CS/PS, VAS, and IT Networks).
• Designing, implementing, and administrating the Broad Band Access technologies such as (FTTX, ETTX, ADSL) including the Network elements (BNG, OLT, CGN, Controllers, etc.).
• Integrating the IP core with multi-transmission backbone technologies (DWDM, SDH, MW).
• Planning, designing, implementing the enterprise projects, based on different type of VPN technologies. 
• Creating and keeping up to date technical documentation and diagrams for all network elements including all services and CPEs setup.
• Performing the technical presentation and presale function for the enterprise customers.
• Supporting the helpdesk/Maintenance teams and other Network/ IT teams to troubleshoot and solve all incidents or problems which related to the Network or Access technologies.
• Identifying and recommending new technologies as well as new business opportunities aligned with the overall strategy.
• Managing network optimization on hardware and application level.
• Producing network and service utilization reports against capacity thresholds on regular basis for management.
• Defining procedures to optimize network KPIs, KQI’s, QOE of IP Network & Services.
• Responsible of rolling out all projects under IP Core Network Expansion, Internal and External NNI and New Nodes according to Annual Operation plan.
• Responsible of rolling out all projects under IP Access Network, which might include Enterprise/Wholesale Projects.
• Leading the specific project/task and work independently with strong project management capability.
• Performing onsite support for all customers with different access technologies.
