IRC Jobs in Libya: Gynecologist

IRC is offering a job opportunity as a full-time Gynecologist in Sabha, Libya.

Under the supervision of the senior medical team leader, the Gynecologist is responsible for:

1. Assessing, Diagnosing and Treating patients with available primary and reproductive health clinical capacity.
2. Provide obstetric and gynecologic care including during preconception, prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods, family planning counselling and syndromic management to STDs at detention centers/ internally displaced people’s camps or Primary health care centers and refer more severe cases to other specialized service provider.
3. Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results.
4. Provide professional medical care to the highest quality and in accordance with national and international laws, protocols, and standards.
5. Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary

1. Bachelor degree in Medicine and Surgery with a valid practice license from Libyan Ministry of Health
2. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working as gynecologist
3. Relevant experience working at NGOs with similar role is an advantage
4. Good understanding of the principles of health care services levels, diagnostic procedures, Libyan health systems, healthcare providers in all sectors, and medical case definitions.
5. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with daily travel to different field sites in Ashatie area
6. Capacity and flexibility to work under pressure and difficult conditions
7. Effective team player with public interest driven orientation
8. Basic skills in Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
9. Self-directed, able to independently set priorities and solve problems with minimal guidance
10. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills in both Arabic & English
11. Understand IRC Way, standards for professional conduct; Integrity, Service, Accountability
