Job in Jordan: Consultant and Educational Content Writer at IRC

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is offering a job opportunity as an Educational content writer to join the team in Amman, Jordan for 2021. 

1.  Adapt the low contact caregiver resource guide into 24 cards (in Arabic) for the early childhood development dialogue tool.
2. Provide detailed description/storyboarding of the illustrations for each card. The description would guide the graphic designer in interpreting the content accurately.
3. Suggest a sample of two to three counselling cards (in Arabic).
4. The consultant is responsible to revise the samples with parenting counsellors.
5. Contribute to developing the prototyping hypothesis and plan.
6. Contribute to the prototyping activity by calling two to three users if needed.
7. Contribute to synthesizing the prototyping results.
8. Iterate the feedback from the first prototyping into developing one sample for the second prototyping phase.
9. Provide consultancy required in the second prototyping phase.
10. Create and finalize 15 to 20 counselling cards in Arabic based on the second prototyping.

1. All content shall be delivered in Arabic and copyedited by a professional copyeditor whose sample work is approved by IRC team.
2. All content shall be reviewed by a parenting counselor whose CV is to be approved by IRC team.
3. The consultant may have to call users part of the prototyping activities.
4. It is estimated that the consultant will need up to 20 working days to deliver the tasks.
5. Four months starting March 15th and to be concluded no later than July 31st, 2021.
6. Proven record on similar work in developing facilitators guides and/or training manuals.
7. Excellent Arabic and English language skills.
8. Knowledge of human-centered design and prototyping.
