Job for Jordanians: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC)

NRC Jordan’s offers a full-time job opportunity for the position of monitoring and evaluation officer. The contract period is till 30th June 2023 with the possibility of extension subject to funding. The purpose of this role is to contribute to enhancing NRC’s understanding of the consequences of its programming, for example through adapting and improving internal systems to promote evidence-based decision-making and program performance.

You will be responsible for:

• Generic responsibilities 
• Implement delegated Core Competency project portfolio according to the plan of action.
• Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
• Ensure proper filing of documents.
• Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
• Specific responsibilities
• Take part in the development of data collection methodology and tools.
• Lead data collection processes, ensuring data is gathered in a timely and appropriate manner and to high quality.
• Support planning, designing, and delivering trainings to enumerators and staff.
• Assist in data management and data analysis.
• Liaise with program and field teams around M&E systems.
• Support in standardizing M&E across projects.
• Document progresses, technical issues, questions, ideas for improvement, feedback, and lesson learnt in a way that can be channeled to the line manager through a clear reporting mechanism.
• Support in the dissemination of information, and providing timely evidence for improved programming and advocacy.
• Support the M&E team in other activities agreed and discussed with the management.

You must have:

• Experience from working within technical expertise areas in a humanitarian/ recovery context.
• Excellent knowledge of English.
• College/diploma degree or 2 equivalent Years of Experience.
• Strong organizational and team working skills.
• Strong Excel Command skills.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Kobo, and xls is a plus.
• Working with people, planning and delivering results
• Communicating with impact and respect.
• Empowering and building trust.
