Job in Kuwait: Fitness Professional at Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts

Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts is offering a job opportunity as a Fitness Professional to join the Sports and Leisure team in Kuwait. 

1. Ensure gym users adhere to the SBU rules and regulations.
2. Give full and safe fitness instruction and guidance through Gym Induction sessions, as required by individuals using the facility.
3. Provide personalized routines to members through Fitness Testing and Assessments with re-assessments and updating of these programs as deemed necessary at regular intervals.
4. Actively promote and encourage Personal Training sessions to members.
5. Maintain a high standard of fitness knowledge and keep updated with fitness developments, locally and internationally.
6. Attend weekly departmental meetings as and when directed by the Sports & Leisure management team.
7. Conduct or attend weekly team meetings for 1-hour on techniques.
8. Maintain a level of fitness in keeping with the role of a Fitness Professional.
9. Report for duty wearing complete standard issue of uniform and name badge.
10. Ensure the general cleanliness and maintenance of the gym equipment in accordance with the instructions from the manufacturer and ensure cleanliness of surrounding areas and assessment room on a daily basis.
11. Adhere to the Business Conduct and Ethics Policy.
12. Adhere to the Conduct on Duty and in Public Areas policy.
13. Adhere to the Jumeirah Grooming Standards.
14. Be aware of the Fire and Safety regulations and procedures of the SBU and know the close down and evacuation procedures and location of the Assembly Point.

16. Co-operating with direct manager to achieve a healthy and safe workplace.
17. Taking reasonable care of own health & safety and that of others.
18. Ensuring colleagues do not interfere with any article provided in the interest of Health and safety.
19. Using any machinery, equipment or dangerous substance in accordance with any training and instruction received.  

1. Degree or Diploma in Fitness Training or any other related field.
2. To have obtained and passed Personal Training Certification from a reputable organization such as The American Council on Exercise (ACE) or similar
3. Minimum of 2 years working experience in a 5 star Luxury Hotel - Sports and Leisure department
4. Must be currently in Kuwait holding a transferable visa
5. Good interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
6. Motivational skills, energy, flexibility and multi-tasking skills.
7. Customer-focused, approachable and outgoing personality.
8. The ability to relate to the requirements of customers from all age groups and sectors of society, including people with special needs.
