Accor offers a job opportunity in Saudi for a position; Demi Chef de Partie / Pastry. It is seeking passionate and dynamic Kitchen professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to the guests. Under the supervision of the Pastry Chef, and within the limits of the established Mövenpick Hotel City Star Jeddah and OSM, you will work with a team spirit and ensure that each guest leaves the outlets fully satisfied and with the wish to return back. You will have the chance to support to grow and learn every day.

Duties & responsibilities

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Provide efficient, exact, and punctual service and work.
  • Assist the Pastry Chef with the daily food production.
  • Ensure top-quality products, as per the Hotel standards.
  • Make sure that standard recipes are followed at all times.
  • Controls food wastage, without compromising on food quality.
  • Ensures that inter-kitchen food transfers are accurate and conform to hotel policy.
  • Recommend changes in systems and procedures to increase efficiency and improve service levels.
  • Ensure that all the kitchen equipment is operated, maintained, and stored properly, and is safe to use.
  • Ensure all the kitchen records are maintained properly at all times as per organizational standards in the department.

Eligibility criteria

You must have: 

  1. A professional kitchen apprenticeship or chefs training course.
  2. Previous experiences in quality establishments along with good culinary skills. 
  3. The ability to communicate well in English.
  4. A proven track of food preparation, presentation, and preservation knowledge.
  5. Positively spirited and passionate about food.
  6. Committed to working together with the service team to deliver.
  7. Very positive, dynamic, creative, and dedicated team player.
  8. Ability to work in a multicultural environment and under difficult conditions.
  9. Understanding hotel operations and customer focus.
  10. Effective communication and understanding differences.
  11. Teamwork and adaptability.
