We are looking for a Senior APM Engineer to lead the implementation, optimization, and support of application performance monitoring solutions using the Instana platform across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Instana, strong analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex distributed systems to identify and resolve performance issues.

• Manage and optimize Instana agents for scalability and efficiency

• Mentor junior engineers on APM best practices and Instana usage

• Integrate Instana with ITSM and alerting tools such as Splunk, ServiceNow, and PagerDuty

• Support performance testing and capacity planning initiatives using data from Instana

• Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for the internal knowledge base

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in application performance monitoring and IT operations

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Instana, including agent management and configuration

• Deep understanding of application architecture (Java, .NET, Microservices, Databases, APIs)

• Experience with distributed tracing, performance analysis, and service mapping

• Familiarity with automation and scripting tools such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker)

• Instana certifications (e.g., Instana Certified Professional) are a plus

• Familiarity with other APM tools (AppDynamics, New Relic, DataDog) is a plus

• Understanding of log analysis and SIEM tools is a plus
