Opportunity description

PWC is advertising a job opportunity as a host on the company's central floor in the United Arab Emirates.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Handling reception area activities.
  • Acting as the first point of contact between the company, visitors and callers.
  • Handling all internal and external enquiries and carrying out administrative activities of the reception office.
  • Adhering to the budget allocated for the office administrative function.
  • Welcoming visitors, arranging relevant permits and ensuring that all callers and visitors are dealt with promptly, politely and accurately.
  • Ensuring that visitors are provided with comfort and are received in a timely manner by their host, guided to the appropriate room and assisted with parking if required.
  • Cleaning and managing the facilities, meeting rooms and floor checks on an hourly basis.
  • Completing CAFM form/form for any facilities/maintenance issues.
  • Checking meeting room bookings.
  • Dealing with day to day issues if EA is unable to deal with them.
  • Maintaining visitor records
  • Managing parking records.
  • Coordinating with the mail room for external deliveries with the assistance of the office administrators.
  • Carrying out general maintenance of the reception area.
  • Coordinating with security when required.
  • Performing other administrative tasks when required (e.g. issuing PwC access cards).
  • Answering visitor and caller queries and referring them to the appropriate person.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • High school diploma (equivalent) or bachelor's degree.
  • Proficiency in English writing and speaking skills.
  • Preferably fluent in Arabic and French.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer service position such as a front desk.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure.
  • Spirit of initiative
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • You must have a warm, friendly and professional demeanor at work.
  • Basics of computer work, especially Excel and Word.
  • Ability to type quickly (at least 25 words per minute).
