Opportunity description

MBC announces a job opportunity as a channel coordinator in Saudi Arabia.

Duties & responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Handling all day to day relationships with the various SSC teams, and all internal MBC/Shahid/Gobx teams.
  • Organizing and conducting daily check-ins with the SSC team.
  • Ensuring prompt response to all incoming inquiries.
  • Following up with any party when needed to ensure all SSC objectives are met.
  • Coordinating with Planning & Scheduling teams, MCR/TCR, Brand Management and all relevant stakeholders.
  • Listen and coordinate with MMS.
  • Attending the weekly SSC update meeting.
  • Representing the channel management in the Sports Steering Committee meetings.
  • You will be the first point of contact for the channel coordinators and ensure that any questions are answered.
  • Escalating to the channel management when conflicts arise or critical decisions are made.
  • Monitoring the SSC channels at all times especially during live matches.
  • Suggesting improvements and/or pointing out any issues in any of the SSC channels.
  • Seeking out new programs and opportunities for the SSC channels and coordinating with the acquisition team.
  • Monitoring and reviewing monthly consumption reports and ensuring budget control and compliance.
  • Notifying key persons of any changes affecting schedules or programs.
  • Following up on legal matters regarding contracts.
  • Provide necessary support in any related administrative tasks.

Eligibility criteria

You must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and Media.
  • 2 years experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to work long hours and weekends.
  • Ability to work accurately and reliably in a high volume environment.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Excellent planning skills.
  • Multitasking skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Passion for sports.
