Opportunity description

Alshaya Group is offering a job opportunity as a Fraud Prevention Specialist to join the team in Kuwait. 

Duties & responsibilities

  1. Analyse various company data, systems and reports to identify incidents of abuse.
  2. Compile and review data collected from various sources.
  3. Review transactions in a manual review queue for fraudulent behaviour and identify trends.
  4. Provide fraud rule recommendations based on data and trends to improve fraud detection.
  5. Conduct follow-up research on fraudulent transactions.
  6. Highlight suspect transactions and compile information for support teams.
  7. Produce necessary reporting for Sr Management.
  8. Manage special projects as assigned.
  9. Maintain high level of ethics and confidentiality.
  10. Foster teamwork and collaborative environment to meet objectives.
  11. Must be able to work evenings, holidays and weekends.
  12. Additional tasks may be added as determined by senior management.

Eligibility criteria

  1. Retail loss prevention/asset protection experience an asset.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Experience working fraud investigations an asset.
  5. Excel (Formula/Format/Pivot) essential.
  6. Working with retail systems.
  7. IT Background.
  8. Loss prevention/finance experience.
  9. Working with data management programs.
  10. Excellent time management.
  11. Interacts well with all levels and in a team environment.
  12. Detail oriented.
  13. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  14. Superior writing, analytical and communication skills.
  15. Able to multitask and complete projects on time, often on a tight deadline.
