Rotana Hotel offers a job opportunity as a lifeguard in the United Arab Emirates.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Warning swimmers about unsafe areas.
- Rescuing swimmers in danger of drowning and providing them with first aid.
- Maintain order in swimming areas.
- Determine the chlorine content and pH value of the water using a water test kit.
- Ensure that the swimming pool is clean.
- Ensure that sun loungers are clean, in the right place and in good condition.
- Regularly checking the pool temperature to ensure it is at a specified standard level.
- Ensure that the surface of the pool is clean and free of any debris.
- Ensure that the awnings are properly installed in their units.
- Provide necessary emergency care and treatment as required until emergency medical services arrive.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Be a trained and qualified professional swimmer and lifeguard.
- Diploma or university degree and some previous work experience, preferably in the hotel industry.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
- It is preferred that you be proficient in the English language and possess good interpersonal abilities.
- Guest service skills and ability to handle complaints.
- You must be a positive, smiling, athletic, outgoing and friendly person.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Teamwork skills, and thrive in working with a multicultural team.
- Take responsibility.
- Adaptability.
