The Excel team is looking for a product manager with experience in implementing BI solutions and shipping software to envision, build, and release new creative experiences that will transform the way users work with data and make decisions leveraging the Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI) stack. Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Defining new features and experiences and managing the process to release these experiences to customers.
- Working with creative and technical peers to develop plans, prototypes, and specs.
- Conducting customer research to synthesize core customer-focused requirements and goals.
- Using telemetry to provide data-driven insights as well as defining key telemetry to measure future outcomes against.
- Defining a clear product strategy, requirements, and deliverables.
- Contributing to a healthy, fun, and supportive team culture.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- 5+ years experience as a product manager on software development projects.
- Extensive experience designing, developing, and implementing solutions based on Excel BI (PivotTables, Power Pivot, Data Model, Power Query) and/or Power BI (or similar BI products).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, user understanding and empathy, and cross-group experience.
- Ability to plan and manage multiple projects/features concurrently.
- Demonstrated curiosity + passion for customers, technology, and services.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and to identify, assess, and solve problems quickly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; or 5+ years of industry experience.
- The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
