Microsoft offers a job opportunity as a Business Reliability and Accuracy Engineer in Australia. You will be responsible for improving customer experience on Azure, by diagnosing and troubleshooting critical customer applications built on the Microsoft Azure platform. You must have the necessary knowledge to manage complex and available services with a deep understanding of the core components (Azure platform, Azure SDK, Azure Portal), work directly with and support customers as well as support Livesite and engineering teams, and must have a proven track record of empathy with a customers Engineering mindset, flexible ability to work.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Participate in covering calls (approximately 15% of the time) for platform and security communications.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team and project management to drive product improvements based on customer references.
- Improving customer experience by analyzing signals from various sources, driving RCA initiatives, problem management initiatives, and service improvements that include various bug fixes.
- Foster the continuous improvement process in the Azure platform by incorporating feedback from internal/external customers.
- Define and direct requirements to increase customer resilience and platform reliability.
- Participate in the design of the V.Next architecture for cloud infrastructure services, focusing on strategic customer scenarios.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Experience in service architecture in 24 x 7 x 365 enterprise environments.
- Technical experience with Azure services and capabilities and/or cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in one or more automation languages (PowerShell, CLI, etc.).
- Communication skills needed to take command and control of communications with customers, internal Microsoft stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Strategic thinking skills, quantitative and analytical skills, team leadership, and collaboration.
- Excellent problem-solving, judgment, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Strong knowledge of the Windows or Linux platform and developer tools and the ability to diagnose and debug users' code.
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks according to high-level goals/projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences; Including high-profile customers, executive management, and engineering teams.
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or any equivalent experience.
